    Hay Vagabonds

Another chilly morning at 24 degrees, we are heading into a mix of sun and clouds and a high of 43. (^.^)

The Tamarack are changing now and showing up like groves of sore thumbs. The Tamarack may be known as Larch out in Montana and are likely unknown to the rest of the Vagabonds. A tree with needles that loose those needles like the broad leafed trees do. Larch is also mentioned in the epic poem “The Song of Hiawatha” by Longfellow. When the tree grows new needles in the spring they make the tree look frilly and quite pretty. Also known as Hackmatack in southern New England

Just about sunrise and the turbines are turning pink on the ridge.

May y’all have a beautiful day touched by God.

    Good morning, Vagabonds and Shalom.

We had a wonderful time last night at Lawry’s. Their specialty is Prime Rib. They have these big silver carts that they roll up to your table and carve the meat in front of you. Elegant, if expensive, dining at its best. Our gift to each other this year is the new dishwasher, but it won’t be delivered for another month.

Michael keeps asking me what I want for Christmas. I remember my mother used to answer that question with “world peace”. Now I know how she felt. There really isn’t anything that I want. I don’t need more “stuff” in my life. We downsized so much when we moved into the RV and still have a bedroom and a storage unit full of stuff, most of it memories. I can’t imagine that Mike will want most (or any) of it after we’re gone. I think my next move will be to bring home one of my “memory boxes” and start going through it for nostalgia’s sake.

Another pretty day outside with a forecast high of 80. It’s been really nice the past few days.

Everyone have a safe and blessed day.

ByE: Mrs. E goes through the bedtime litany of did you bathe, shave, brush teeth and then “rewards” him by allowing him to kiss Bruno.

    Good afternoon, Vagabonds.

I was so busy yesterday I almost forgot to read the comics, let alone stop in for a chat. The family was over for dinner last night and it pretty much wore me out! (Happily.). With my grandson’s ever changing schedule I sometimes feel like they were just here and are now back again for more. They asked for fried chicken sandwiches, so that is what I made, and my grandson is asking for chicken fried steak dinner. It might take me a couple of weeks to put that one together. I really do try to limit my intake of deep fat fried food.

Weather: yesterday our low was 28 and our high was 55. Today it again started out at 28 and currently it is 54 and sunny. Just like yesterday. But all this cold and warm weather means the leaves are falling so it is time to start raking, and raking some more.

May you all enjoy a very blessed day.
