‘Jenny?!’ exclaimed Francis and Teddy together. ‘She likes you?’ asked Teddy. ‘It doesn’t say that’ said Francis. ‘It just says that she broke up with Artur. Teddy looked pale. ’What?!’ he said ‘Why?!’ ‘Again’ said Francis ‘it doesn’t say that. But she wants to meet you Nate.’ Nate was confused. Was that why she wanted to help him get on a date with Angie? ‘I think Ill go see her.’ said Nate. ‘Well’ said Francis and Teddy. ‘Good luck.’ Nate nodded and left.

Soon he saw Jenny. ‘Hey Jenny.’ said Nate. ‘Oh, hey Nate’ said Jenny. ‘I heard you wanted to talk to me?’ said Nate. Jenny nodded. ’What’s wrong?’ he asked. ‘Breaking up with Artur is hard’ said Jenny ‘but I feel like its the right thing to do.’ ‘But, why did you break up with Artur?’ asked Nate. ‘I don’t want to talk about it’ replied Jenny. ‘Not with you, not with anybody’ ‘Ok.’ said Nate. ‘Actually, the reason I called you here was because, I like you. I know I was mean to you but I feel that you are the right person.’ Nate was shocked. He now had to pick between Angie and Jenny. Who would he choose?

‘What do you think guys?’ asked Nate. ‘It’s a very delicate situation.’ replied Francis. ‘If you go steady with Angie, then she may dump you again.’ ‘However’ said Teddy. ‘If you go steady with Jenny, it will be a new experience and you may not like it. Then again she is the girl of your dreams.’ ‘I think I may know what to do.’ said Nate. ‘Well, either way you are going to break a girl’s heart.’ said Teddy. ‘I think I know who to choose.’ said Nate. ‘Well, either way, Teddy and I got your back.’ said Francis. They wished him good luck and left.

The same evening, Nate was preparing what he was going to say to Angie. ‘Well’, he thought. ‘It couldn’t be that bad.’ A few minutes later, he met Angie at the same restaurant that started all this. ‘Hey Angie’ Nate said upon seeing her. ‘Hi Nate.’ said Angie. ‘Have you thought about the proposal?’ ‘Uhh, yes I have’ replied Nate. ‘I think that I want to reject your proposal. I don’t want to date you again. I’m sorry but I want to be with Jenny. I wish you good luck in the future but this is it between us. Again I’m sorry but goodbye.’ Nate left a shocked and sad looking Angie at the table.

Off topic: I wouldn’t be surprised if Nate became so upset about not getting a dog for Christmas that he himself starts to think that he is a dog

“Nate, how did you know it was me?” Chad asked. “Because your the fastest and shortest kid in school” Nate said. “Ok, we’ll, just follow me, OK?” Chad said as he turned his back and walked down the hall. “Fine”. Chad went to a hall far from theirs where there was few people. Chad waited until everyone but him and Nate left the hall, then he cupped his hands like claws, and swung them in opposite directions. The doors changed position. “Wha…?” Nate asked in a weary voice.

It was a cold rainy night, I was standing in my office. When she knocked on my door and entered. She was beautiful and sat down on a chair and said “ NATE NATE!!” What? He thought that voice sounded a lot like… Suddenly Nate woke up from his slumber to find Mrs.Godfrey staring at him angrily. “Oops” whispered Nate as he tried his best to look away from Mrs. Godfrey’s eye. “Nate I’m tired of you sleeping and not paying attention in my class! Just for sleeping and ignoring my teachings you get detention for a whole week!” “Aw man!” mumbled Nate for he knew that this wasn’t going to be a good week. Just then the bell rang and the children left the classroom.Nate was on his way to his locker just when he encountered his friends Teddy and Francis. “Hey Nate how is it going?” asked Teddy. “Not so great Teddy “Mrs.Godfrey gave me detention for a whole week!” said “What did you do this time Nate?” Questioned Teddy. “I just took a small nap for a bit but then Mrs.Godfrey got triggered and gave me detention for a week” Blabbered Nate. “Oh really”questioned Francis. “Ok Maybe I slept for longer but I don’t think it’s fair to give someone detention because they are tired!”stated Nate. Just when the conversation was about to be at a conclusion Nate saw something that caught his eye. It was Jenny and she looked very worried and stressed out about something.

True story: in the crowded busy cafeteria of college, I saw one roll, go in slow motion, up and into the center of the room. The second it made contact, the room exploded with food flying everywhere! I hit the deck. In a minute it was over.

“Ok, what’s up Jenny?” A quivver of happiness in his voice. “Nate… I… I like…” Nate had awaited those words for so long. He was about to pul in for a kiss when Jenny finished her sentance.“Teddy.” “WHAT?!” “Well, ever since me and Artur started drifting… I cannot deny these feelings anymore.” And as if on que, Teddy appered. “Hey Jenny. Heard about the break up. Tough. But here a joke that’ll cheer you up! Two whales walk into a bar…” “Ahaha! Teddy you’re sooo funny!” Said Jenny with a dreamy voice. “Um, thanks? But I didn’t finish my joke…” Nate was crushed. And kind of mad at Teddy. I mean, sure, Teddy has liked Jenny and sure, Jenny had kissed him, but this? This was enraging. “Ugh, Teddy, your jokes suck.” Teddy was taken back. “Have you been taking an exra dose of haterade?” “No, you’re just annoying.” Jenny pulled on Nate’s arm. “Nate!” Said Jenny in the student lounge. “I thought you were over me!” Well, what do you even see in him? You guys only kissed like, once…" “And ever since then, I’ve liked him!” “But Jenny, I’ve liked you for-” “I knew it.” Said a voice grimly.

Teacher: okay everyone, I’ll give you a 5 minute break.

Me: give me a knife, I can make this five minutes last forever

" Jenny? M’lady? " Nate said Happily. " Come sit down Nate. " Jenny says quietly. – Nate Sits Next to Jenny- " Is there something wrong Jenny? " Nate says curiously. " Nate.., Artur and I, We.. We… " Jenny says sadly. " You what? " Nate says excitely. Suddenly Jenny BURSTS into Tears.
