I went to London with my older brother in 2012. While we didn’t have £6 pints, I’m not remembering anymore what was the most expensive thing we ate was.

Any city is higher…if Andy moved there he would just have to cadge a higher class of people!

That’s the price of turning everything into a tourist attraction. After the rich people left there was no one to pay the bloody taxes for all the other lot on the dole.

What does Mr. Cadger care how much a pint costs someone else?

It is 30 October, the day before Halloween. As I mentioned two weeks ago, when remembering the last issue of Valiant and the first issue of Krazy, 30 October was appropriately the date of the last issue of Monster Fun which merged with Buster to form Buster And Monster Fun Comic.

We can be pretty sure that Andy didn’t come anywhere close to Saint Pauls Cathedral

They probably had Andy’s picture at the breweries offering tours with a “Do Not Serve this Man More than 1 Beer” warning.

Andy heard “A pint is a pound all the world round” and thought it was the price of ale.

Should pin a beggar sign on Andy’s back: tramp, beggarman, vagrant, vagabond, down-and-out, homeless person, derelict, mendicant. pauper, poor person. American hobo. informal scrounger, sponger, freeloader, have-not, crusty. British informal dosser, cadger. But Andy has his principles – In London, Flo or Chalkie would be paying.

I wonder if Andy managed to cadger a pint or two from the Queen. I wouldn’t put it past him.

Never been to London England. been to London Ontario. Good enough for me. Don’t really feel a need to go back to my ancestors roots. Having been sober over 30 years now the p[rice of booze is quite distressing. 10 cent 8 oz drafts were a prime buy back in the early 70’s. Now it’s 6,7,8 dollars for a domestic 5% beer. glad I quit.

True story: there is a bit of graffiti on a wall inside of one of the ancient Egyptian pyramids complaining about rising prices. (Okay, I just now made that up, but it’s the internet, innit? Some people are BOUND to believe it!)

the cost of a pint and he got COVID which would certainly take his breath away. Fortunately a mild case because the alcohol in his blood stream took care of those bloody germs real quick.

A pint in London now costs an average £5.33, Andy must of been doing a little of the High Brow pub crawling..

For those of us on this side of the pond that’s US $8.22.

Which is steep for a pint, even a craft beer. Unless you’re inside some event.
