No cat would risk sleep on the ground like that. On the outside, they’ll go for a safe place such as a higher above ground like on a wall or a place where they can hides to sleep.
Our old cat Tig ( r i p ) would sleep in the craziest places , then we figured it out , we have radiant heating , and he found every" hot spot " in the house .

I had to cover all my chairs with small towels…..the hair is killing me…..but they are so cute!
