When he thought of more paper, I have a box of scraps of paper (about the size of grocery lists) from the print shop at which I was first employed. Not just grocery list s thereon, but I write —on both sides of course— my four weeks’ worth of grocery store shifts which I jot down from the online employee database.
If I have a pen – I usually have a scrap of paper. Most of the time – no pen, just hoping I remember what it was. Lots of folded post-it notes [in my pocket] for me, when I’m coming from home.
We keep a white board near the pantry, grocery list goes on that. Then I take a photo of the list, go to the store, realize I forgot my phone at home. Next to the canvass bags.

Wrote on mine just moments ago. The best way to keep reminders handy, and environmentally good as well.
