Pasta and oatmeal boxes Miss Bliss? That hardly befits the glowing and expansive self evaluation you gave earlier; Dill’s review, notwithstanding.
Marshmallows like those you find in Lucky Charms cereal? No thanks; too chalky. Go with marshmallows you put into a mug of hot cocoa.
Hey Alice, did you know that the non-marshmallow bits in Lucky Charms are made of OATS?!!!
I’ve had mini-marshmallows in oatmeal. Wasn’t all that good. I prefer brown sugar or a drizzle of malt syrup with some butter.
When I was a child, my mother melted marshmallows in my oatmeal once. I liked it so she kindly kept it up well past the time I was sick of it.
We used to use cigar boxes.
I think I did similar projects. Why is gluing pasta to stuff a skill, lol?
Poor Alice. I put diced dried apples and apricots in my overnight oats. MMMMMM Yummers.
What if I wanted to paint it green?
It’s not truly art unless there is GLITTER.
I’ve got 2 words for you Alice: Lucky Charms!
And after Arts and Crafts, Dill gets a visit from Mr. Stickypants…
One of the biggest problems in this country is the fact almost NO ONE (including adults) eats just oatmeal – they seem to HAVE to have things like marshmallows and/or TONS of sugar in it!!
But you can always add raisins.
My daughter made one of those gifts in 1976. Surprisingly, it lasted for 10 years before the pasta all fell off.
I agree Dill! And some say pasta is the gateway drug to the art world; at the very least it is tradition, kinda like the handprint turkey.
Uh-Oh, looks like something is brewing in Alice. No one wants a visit from Mr. Stinkypants, but he pales in comparison to Queen Volcano.
I made this same project 60 plus years ago in my 9th grade art class. My mom threw it out 60 years ago.
Ms. Pessimist and Mr. Optimist! They will make a perfect couple in 20 more years!
Obviously Alice has never tried Quaker Instant Oatmeal Brown Sugar flavor with Dinosaur Eggs.
