It’s been a long, long time since I have enjoyed the smell of burning leaves as a sure sign of autumn. But after that temperature inversion that nearly choked the whole town, I can understand why leaf-burning was outlawed.

Nothing like a little naplam to start the day.

Once again, the home uses and practicality of the flame thrower are seen, yet they are still illegal. Sigh…

Lio has improved (maybe) on Crankshaft’s idea. However, Lio’s method is far more dangerous.

Why not just leaf them be?

What’s truly interesting about today’s strip is that owning a flamethrower is perfectly legal in the USA.

Not a tree in sight, either!

Lio has done that before not sure when because I saw it on Lio making friends or Lio there’s a monster in my socks.

I know it was the right thing to do, banning burning leaves, but I sure miss the smell!

I remember helping my mom put stuff in the incinerator. It was a normal back yard thing.

Still the smell of burning leaves does take you back to simpler times. Now Lio has the right idea for the mountain size piles of leaves that come with fall.

Here, he could be arrested or fined, at the very least. He’s got the leaves all piled up in little stacks. You’d think it would be easy to bag them.

Looks like something Crankshaft would do.

Aw rats, our town has an ordinance against burning leaves. Oh well, we do have to be considerate of neighbors with respiratory problems. Maybe I’ll drive out into the countryside where someone with room for it is burning theirs.
