From the original version of The Lion King:

    “I felt down-hearted,

    Every time I…"

“Not in front of the kids!”

In the PG-rated version from two years ago, Pumbaa does sing “Every time I farted” but I think the original version was funnier.

Nearly two weeks ago, there was a Sunday strip which mentioned fireworks and I commented that we have fireworks in Britain shortly after Halloween Night. Tonight is Guy Fawkes Night here in Britain. It is also known as Bonfire Night and Fireworks Night. Fireworks seem to be more popular than bonfires nowadays.

Well – the closest to inappropriate this cartoon has ever been. Props to Rover for intervening!

Well that was a close call. Mr. Basset certainly would not want to offend any sensitive readers with the A word. Discretion is the better part of valor!

Growing up in Chicago there was a fast food joint on Addison Avenue called Addison Snack Shop and the first letter of each word on the sign was extra large in red!
