Before the internet came along some 25 years ago, that entire stack would represent just one Sunday edition of the newspaper carrying Ziggy’s comic in my city alone. I think they printed some 1.5 million copies of the Sunday paper.
When I was a teen one of the hinge I did was to clean estates. One home had a large detached garage. When I opened the door I found it stacked from floor to ceiling, front to back with nothing but New Yorker magazines. Several 60 yard boxes later I had the place clean.
Forest management along with the paper companies rotate the trees needed to make paper for comics, newspapers, magazines and many more paper products. Stop complaining about the waste.
Wonder why people are trying to save trees all the time. They are a crop just like wheat. Where I live folks make a living harvesting trees and wheat in the same area. No one ever gets up set with combines cutting down the wheat. Glad they do still cut trees I really enjoy my home made out of wood. LOL.
