Our library allows you to renew a checkout for up to six weeks. Then you can come back in a few days and check it out for another six weeks. With patience, you can get through whole textbooks.

This is silly, Broomie could zap herself with a fast reading spell!

She could get through “War and Peace” in less time than it takes to say “The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain”

Two weeks is mighty short. Our library is between 3 and 4 weeks, depending on how in demand the book is.

Two weeks…I used to remember when that was the length of time of checking out books at the school library…

At my library, you get automatic renewal unless the book is on hold.

Proud to say that I am a very fast reader, zip through a book in no time. Remembering what I read is, however, a different story.

But then, Broomie’s cartoon wouldn’t be funny…just saying.

Dear mother,I’m writing this slowly, because I know you can’t read fast.

Poor Broomie. After (way more than) 1500 years, her eyes aren’t what they used to be, her synapses are misfiring and slow, and reading takes her a lot of time.

That’s okay, green sweetie! Take all the time you need!
