That’s both of my dogs in a nutshell. I sit down to eat my meal, while they’re eating theirs, and they rush through in order to beg for MY food! Gotta love ’em!
My cats basically have 3 meals a day… the 3rd being dry food always in the bowl (neither of them is fat either)… but even if they have just had their “main” meal, they are always at our dinner table getting bites of whatever meat I’m having!
In spite of two meals a day apiece and warnings from the vet about their being a “wee bit on the pudgy side” our dogs constantly wage the “we’re starving to death” war. One will sit in front of me after I’ve finished dinner and….STARE…even though he NEVER gets fed from the table. It’s very disconcerting.

Works that way sometimes. Sometimes you just want that little something extra to finish the meal off. Work the eyes, Fred. It’s in the eyes.
