I did not grow my beard during the quarantine. I grew it when I had my right arm in a sling due to tendon surgery. I learned to do a lot of things left handed, but I choose that shaving was not going to be one of them.
The beard came in, my wife liked it, I don’t care either way, so I kept it.
As a Santa for my friends back in the 80’s maybe also the 70’s kids always wanted to see the reindeers and peak under my beard. I was cheap, accepted no pay and often got a bottle of tequila for a great night of fun.
Older guy I work with had trimming mistake on his quarantine beard, shaved the whole thing off except for a Wilford Brimley mustache. Looked great, but he got rid of that too, and started over. So far, so good, swears that by Christmas he will look like Santa Claus.
I had hopes some pandemic whiskers would act like Velcro to hold a mask in place. Not so much. Now, along with seasonal chronic ‘hat hair’, I’ve got chronic mask whiskers.
