Keep the bedroom door closed. My cat does not meow loud enough to wake me, but if I fall asleep in my chair in front room, she gets the “cat out of hell zooms”. Do not ignore that!
I get up for work at 4 am four days a week. My cat woke me at 4am on my days off. Never underestimate the intelligence of a cat. She figured if I can get up for work, I can get up for her!
My late wife’s Oriental Shorthair cats do this, they wake me up and then go to sleep for the next 8 or 9 hours. Then get up for about 20 minutes and repeat over and over.
My cat tried waking me up in the wee hours of the morning when he was young.
He was promptly chased through the entire house by a naked angry old man who was yelling, cursing and and making threats. He learnt his lesson and has never ever dared to try that again.
Our girl, Abbey (also my avatar) meows. The meows are fine. It’s her yowling and finding the best place in the house for that yowl to echo. She is doing it more and more, she is almost 15 so there may be some senility involved. This has made for some interesting zoom meetings and FaceTime calls for our family.
My 18 year old tends to meow incessantly when she wants something. Then I have to figure out what it is she wants. By the time I figure it out, she has gone back to sleep. My turn to disturb her peace.

Mine just get in bed with us, then stomp on us a bit until they find a comfy spot.

That’s why I don’t keep cats.

Mine doesn’t make a lot of noise. She’ll just paw at me me until I wake up.

Typical cat behavior.

I don’t have one of these. I use an alarm clock and I don’t have to clean a litter box.

I stood outside my neighbor’s window laughing until she woke up. It wasn’t funny until she threw the water out the window.

Cats-smatz! I had human kids like that.

Cats are the center of the universe. The sooner you figure that out, the better off they will be. And that is all that matters.

If meowing didn’t work, my cat just sat on my head.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

My Mom and Pop’s cat (now mine since 2017) will wake me up when I should be up. Smart girl! The older I get the more I wanna sleep!

You would be surprised how much you miss this when they pass away.
