Worked at a restaurant that had a stream running by it. It would run GREEN whenever the laundromat up the hill dumped its waste. Ah! The good old days!!! Always like to interject some reality into these things.
My friends and I would do the same thing on the railroad tracks. Just walk and walk. Hypnotized by the rails. Cattails growing everywhere. We’d take one and pick it apart and ~fling!~ toss the bits of fluff up and watch them go wafting on the breeze. Good memories.
