Animals and people both respond to clarity and consistency. Too many people whine about their problems rather than communicating in the moment. It makes for confused pets and children.
As a boy, my mother would literally give me a 30-minute lecture, if she found I had not washed the dishes properly. Her lecture somehow made me responsible for her personal unhappiness and the downfall of Western Civilization. My father would just say, “Son, I’m disappointed in you. Wash all these dishes again.” I knew what he meant.

People can be hard to understand. People can be a real problem.
[It’s hard to get people to do what you want them to do. It’s almost like they have minds of there own.]
