I don’t get the grass fetish. I have very little of the stuff.
Anaheim peppers, various varieties of tomatoes and okra for me. I’m already harvesting a few chiles and some cherry tomatoes.

We put in a raised bed garden this year. The groundhogs love it.
If you are sedentary and need modest exercise, a small garden is a good way to go. Otherwise, leaving it to professionals makes more sense.
