    If I look closely, there’s a “5/27” date. Memorial Day. Remembering MY dad now; thanks, Daddy!

    Trust me…he knew. I sat up with my father til 2AM many times; just listening; that is all he wanted. As a RCAF bomber pilot in WW II and Korea, he saw it all, and had PTSD before they knew what it was. All it took was a hug and a “I love you Dad”, and he calmed down. He never got over the horrors, and I guess you never do. I had a friend who trashed my father for being poor. I told him "Thanks to men and women like my father, you are still free to trash others instead of saying “Heil Hitler” every day." Wars will never end as long as there are politicians who put their own greed over the value of human life. Politicians think human life has no value.
