I grew up in the area the Wampanoags lived in….Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I’m sure it’s true they regret ever helping the Pilgrims…..pass the turkey please!
The Pilgrim-Wampanoag saga concluded with King Phillip’s War after which most of the Wampanoags were sold into slavery. The Indian leader, King Phillip, was drawn and quartered and his body parts taken to various English settlements as trophies.
Why, I do believe our Cyn may have gotten her hands on a book that every American should read: James W. Loewen’s superb Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong.
It not only corrects many misconceptions, it explains how & why said foolery gets into “approved textbooks”.

Kids are smart. Even David Bowie sung about smart kids. The good ones will get it right: “they’re quite aware of what they’re going through”.

Maybe I’m just uninformed, but I didn’t think the new censorship would/could affect private schools

To tell you the truth, I kind of regret their kindness, too. Puritanism is something that badly needs to be wiped out in the United States today.
