Real sciences don’t need to tell you that they are sciences.

We don’t have to worry about Danae getting involved in tribal politics. No tribe would touch her. And vice-versa.

Sigh, in our daily diatribal politics there are no “stupid meteors”… just a ton of dirt being flung around.

Any field of study that has “Science” in its name… isn’t.

In this Troubled Time of Trump the Terrible, political science is now called the QAnon Quotient.

Political science is a field of the social sciences. It is as valid a field of study as other social science branches, such as anthropology, economics, sociology, geography, psychology, and others.

It is interesting that those debunking science tend to be so certain of themselves. Reminds me of a quote attributed to Aristotle:

Smart people learn from everything and everyone, average people learn from their experiences, stupid people already have all the answers.

Ignoring it is how we got here.

The last time we had a schism similar to this was in the 1960’s.

Back then, many of my contemporaries were majoring in Political Science. A few of my friends and I majored in Electrical Engineering. Guess which group had an easier time finding a job.
