The officiating in the NBA is on a par with the WWE and there’s always a storyline involving star players and feuds. Might as well go the rest of the way.
The NBA is on par with the IOC as far as being like a spineless jellyfish when it comes to standing up for human rights when it could affect their cash stream. Oh sure, the NBA are all about fairness and justice if it is viewed favorably by we the public in the US over mass murders and domestics acts of violence but will turn a blind eye to anything concerning that cash cow known as China. BTW: Lebron is a big hypocrite concerning this and I notice that the media is beginning to peck away at him a bit. I just saw a story about how he wanted to get Michelle Beadle canned from BSPN (anything Disney just slightly less hypocritical then the IOC or NBA about the China issue) over some of her posts about his “big decision”, makes him come off as a thin skinned prima-donna.
Anyhow, I applaud the WTA and Enis Kanter for standing up to authoritarian bullies. Many in the NBA are only “woke” when it does not affect their pocketbook and well the IOC has always been corrupt since the days of Juan Antonio Samaranch to the point that FIFA probably takes notes to pick up new ways to keep bribes and corruption under the radar.
Bobby Knight threw chairs like a guest on Jerry Springer’s show. Then there was Gil Hodges, who managed the Mets to a World Series victory in 1969, and he brought lazy or careless players into line by giving them a certain Look. They then didn’t make the same mistake again. Leadership by example rather than by intimidation.

Where’s Bobby Knight when you need him?

The LeBron Strategy involves leaving your team for another. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Many years ago Sam Jones or Jim Luscutoff (I believe) grabbed a metal folding chair and took took after another player.

Wait…the NBA is cracking down on flopping? Just like the NHL is calling more diving penalties…NOT!

If he’s gonna cry, may as well make it for a good reason.

The NBA is not that different from WWE. Or soap operas. A league of divas. Games are boring. I’ll stick with the NHL
