Sounds like Monty is fishing for gifts of cash from his relatives. (“I don’t have that kind of cash – looking at my bank balance.”)

My grandma made that same oatmeal molasses bread every Wednesday, and I’d be there to see it come out of the oven with steam rising from it and the aroma filling the kitchen. She’d cut me a two-inch slab off the heel, with a huge cube of butter on it. Delete that greeting, Monty, and get the dear old thing that convection oven, for the love of God!
