Wouldn’t matter to me if the “art work” all had sold signs and the artist was laying dead next to the only piece that wasn’t sold, I wouldn’t be interested in this abstract “art”. To me abstract means I have no real artistic ability but I managed to convince some idiots that they should view this as an artistic masterpiece. Give me a realistic looking painting and then i will consider it as potentially art, if I like the picture.
Some years ago, I heard about a shoe company who had a cheap brand and a pricey brand. They put out the same shoe under both brands, and the pricey one outsold the cheap one.
