Hi-oh!

Happy birthday to me!

She was beautiful, but sooo two-dimensional.

She’s not my type. She’s a little flat. But…she is willing to get horizontal.

I remember back when I was the first poster. I couldn’t get enough. I thought I would never get tired of it.

Then one day, you wake up, you look across the bed and you realize that it takes a little longer to get excited about it.

Then some time later you have to wear a wig while posting first, just to keep the attention up.

Then you start thinking about other strips you could be first poster on, and you start to think that life could be so much better if only you would have made a better decision when you initially choose a strip to first post on.

Then you go ahead and post first somewhere else and after the initial excitement you feel bad … a betrayal.

Then you post a few more times with the other strip and you start to realize how good you had it in the first place.

How the first strip was always there for you … even if you didn’t shave and the first strip helped you when you were sick.

So then you confess to the first strip what you’ve done and the first strip forgives you …

But the first strip says that trust has to be rebuilt, it doesn’t come back immediately. And you understand and you start to post first again … but in the back of your mind … you still wonder … what if … what if I was first poster on Cathy? That could be fun.

you are right Doc. I read it everyday and I should do something to leave some evidence. It is a pretty good strip and I know some young people who play soccer, so I identify.

terrencestamp, I can feel your pain even though I’m more of a voyeur than an adulterer when it comes to comic strips.

This strip is well-written and quite funny.
