A trillion dollar millstone around the necks of young adults. Civilized nations make it possible for everyone to access affordable higher education, because it is considered a right and beneficial to society as a whole, not an opportunity to make big bucks on the backs of struggling students.
So, who picks up the debt, American taxpayers? Better, I think to tell the loan companies that they are stuck for it, they shouldn’t lend money to people with no jobs or experience anyway.
