When you’re young, those sounds would remind you of Rice Krispies…when you’re older, those are the sounds that you make getting out of bed or out of your chair…
Reminds me of the ‘Candle Coal’, my Dad used to buy to burn in the fireplace. It would crackle and pop and put out different colored flames—-was much more interesting than burning ‘regular, old wood’ ! ! ! ! !

You can put a piece of Copper tubing in a fire and it will make colored flames ,too.
