Oh boy, that brings back memories. We froze are butts off waiting for old bus #2 in 1971. Problem was that #2 was built in 1959. No heat, windows were all frosted and there was frozen slush on the floor. The driver had to keep stopping to clean the windshield off so he could see. In retrospect, no body really cared and all we all got there safe. Could have been a scene in Christmas Story. What a HOOT!
We pretended that we were smoking, in cold weather. But it never made me want to smoke for real. And I never did…except for the 2 times in Marine Boot Camp in ‘68, when our DI made us.
