Hire Bob Vila. He’ll narrate and get all the sponsorship dough while Norm does all the work.

I’m retired, which means I have plenty of time to devote to home repairs and improvements. This involves many phone calls, emails and monitoring workmen (haven’t had any women show up for tasks). Currently trying to get some fencing fixed (vinyl is nice, but not DIY) and the last aluminum windows (condensation problem) replaced.

Exactly. I hated the old carpet in the living room, white sherpa on which every cat had left its mark. Replaced it with wood flooring, one thing led to another . . . When I replaced the carpet on the stairs with tile, I couldn’t get to the upstairs for 3 days.

No dumb arse, you do NOT have a leaky faucet, you have a leaky drain pipe. If someone can get that confused they better call a plumber, even for a simple little job like this.

IDK just how our parents got by with the same bathroom for 40-50 years with only a faucet washer replacement, or,( God forbid) a new flush valve in the toilet.
