Well, at least the landfills will be smaller.

I save a few of those things, but not all.

“And never, ever use any of them!”

When I was 8 I was instructed to carefully unwrap any and all gifts to preserve the paper. I remember the beating I got on my ninth birthday for forgetting that. After I was emancipated and moved out I continued to carefully unwrap gifts. And very carefully place the paper into the fire or recycle bin.

My brother once got a gift with 27 Christmas Seals covering previous years’ tape marks.

Oh, yes, I remember this. My parents grew up in the Depression. “Waste not, want not” still goes through my brain at least once a day.

My grandmother saved bows but i don’t think you can save wrapping paper.,

That’s definitely not MY mother.

My mom’s finally breaking that habit.

That was my grandmother. I carefully saved stuff, and never saw it again.

Like Susan00100 said above: At least saving holiday stuff keeps it out of the landfills.

Waiting for new comic

Christmas is long over. How about a new cartoon??

Wonder when she be back to work with her comic??

We experienced a lengthy delay with new material here once before. Hopefully our artist is just taking a break and will return sometimes soon. I miss you, new “Commiserations”.

So how long are we going to have to wait for new comics this time?

Time for the CATHY drought to end. Bring on the 2022 commiserations!
