Giving me flashbacks of a blizzard from a few years ago. My old snowblower gave up the ghost, so I had to hand shovel 4 feet of snow from my driveway and sidewalks in -40 windchill. With all the warm-up breaks I needed, it took me 2-1/2 days to finish it.

Do they have a keg of brandy or hot chocolate for Gumbo?

I remember snow falls like this from when i was a child. The sides of the path were over my older brothers heads, and they were 6 feet tall. I walked up snow drifts to get onto the roof of our barn, and there was even a picture of me and my dog standing on the roadside snowbanks where we were almost even with the hydro lines.

I wonder if Katy inherited her “intelligence” from her father.

Send Gumbo with a keg of hot caramel milk. She will still be lost in the snow, but she will like it for a while.

Last time I got snowed in like that, a neighbor came over with his Bobcat and cleared my driveway. He was a good guy; then again, with a name like Winston Churchill he’d better be.

Many years ago when my late wife and I still had our 3 dogs, we had a very heavy snowfall. I had to create paths for the dogs and I have pictures of how deep it was, all you can see are the tips of the 2 Chihuahua’s ears. The Catahoula was having fun not in the paths though.

Grew up in a house with nothing but fields across the road and nothing between them and the North Pole but a few barbed wire fences. So, chest deep snow on occasion. No snow blowers, just shovels. Builds character!

PTSD flashback from December 16/17, 2020. Opened my front door on the 17th and snow was halfway up the door. Big “nope” moment.

Wind! Lived in a large apartment complex. Got snowed in on St.Patrick’s Day, of all times, when the drifts sealed the doors to the outside shut.

Trying to walk up a snow drift to get on the parents roof after a blizzard. Got half way up and sunk to my waist. Ended up diving out of the drift and into 3 feet of snow.

Nothing to worry about, Adam, it’s cartoon snow, after all . . .

Scratch that. On second thought, cartoon snow is probably just as cold and potentially dangerous to cartoon characters as regular snow is to us.
