And that is the GOPs plan tell their moronic supporters that the vaccines are deadly and the virus is a hoax so it appears that Biden is not doing enough to stop the pandemic.

How ghoulish and sick is that where Republicans are willing to let a deadly virus continue to spread killing thousands just to try to regain power.

If it is a “Freedom Workplace”, shouldn’t he be free to wear a mask?

Yep, the workplace is free for everyone, especially the Corona Virus. Have a nice day!

Lopez, you should accept the fact that bad news will always outpace bad news. In NYC (where I was born and raised), there is evidence that they case rate may have peaked and has started to recede. It may be partly because of the holiday season, but it is pretty heartening. London continues to recover, and the rest of the UK is following suit and cases are starting to descend in France. So, hopefully, cases will (in a week or so) stop rising and start dropping steadily in the rest of the US and Europe. In the meantime, any effort that’s made to slow the spread of Omicron is welcome. If papers weren’t in such trouble these days, I would suggest looking for another paper to work for (without “more ads than news”), perhaps you can start a podcast or a YouTube channel.

I love this: newspaper admits that it has more ads than news. It’s a “freedom workplace” only to not wear a mask, not the freedom to wear one if you choose. The idea that Covid is spreading because of what people are doing is a crazy theory! I’m going to follow this comic for awhile and see where it goes.

The “certain people” aren’t all Republicans, ya know. And Biden’s efforts are abysmal.

It’s not really the theory of evolution most people refuse, it’s the principle of cause and effect.

We wouldn’t be in an international mess if Covid had been stopped at it’s source. There would be no covid, no empty grocery shelves, no dead relatives—- life would have gone on as usual. Trump says that “No one could have seen this coming” referring to the pandemic. Well, someone did.In December 2014, Obama warned the United States:“There may and likely will come a time in which we have both an airborne disease that is deadly,”. And in order to deal with that, the Obama administration sat up a White House Pandemic response team, which had clinics worldwide, including 44 people in the area of China where Covid 19 originated. The plan was for them to spot the disease and then to send enough people to track it and confine it to the area of origin. Using this system they managed the Ebola outbreak with only one American death, and stopped it in the area where it originated.

To help the incoming administration be better prepared to fight future pandemics, officials under President Obama prepared a 69-page playbook, written by Obama’s National Security Council, which detailed strategies for responding to a potential pandemic. Outgoing Obama administration officials briefed Trump’s top aides on the potential dangers of a pandemic. But the Trump administration ignored the playbook Instead, spending weeks downplaying the virus, which they knew about in late December 2019, spouting rampant misinformation and contradicting their own medical and scientific advisors. They wasted nearly two months needed to bolster the federal stockpile of critically needed supplies and equipment. By then, it was too late. Trump likes to name things after himself. This one, he truly earned— The Trump Plague.
