Our sales guys were taught to carry multi copies of the proposal with different prices. They were told to ask the customer if their lowest bid was $$$ to get the customer to tell the active bid. Then, out of the correct pocket, there would appear a bid just under that one! Tricky. If that didn’t work, profession entertainers and booze was applied….
