Seems to me there is nothing wrong. It is warm in the house, it is not wet, and not tracking snow through the house. Of course they are not getting any exercise. Patty is totally oblivious to what they are doing. She and they should be outside having fun. You can always catch up on work later.
I played out in the snow. We didn’t have video games. We had cards and board games and Saturday morning cartoons and cheesy sit-coms and westerns. But we played outside frequently, in the snow, in the sun, in the wind…usually not in the rain though.
