in regards to AUNTY ACID ‘s comment…and in the immortal words of my great aunt.."that’s right, so true"… ♥ (love you great aunt germaine {may you rest in peace})…
Actually, this is one of my philosophies of life that has allowed me to get along with folks that others have major problems with. I word it more like “Cut ‘em some slack, you don’t know what their life has been like.”
One incident I’m quite proud of is when a Secretary was complaining to me about her boss “belittling” her about her work. I suggested she try to just not react and ignore his gibes, like water off a duck’s back. Later she told me it had worked so well that he stopped doing it!

That’s right. You never know what sorrows, hurts, and pains someone is going through. Don’t be all “smile! It isn’t that bad!” “Um, yes it is.”

‘Cheer up,’ they said, ‘things could be worse.’ So I cheered up, and sure enough, things got worse…

I used to say something along those lines to a friend of mine. You don’t know what you don’t know and unless they tell you they suffer in silence.

This does not, however, include the bleep who bleeping parks across two bleeping spots in the bleeping parking lot.
