When my son was old enough to refuse to wear a hat and mittens, I let him go without them. If he was too stupid to know to dress properly for the weather, so be it. Freeze.

One can only help so much…..

Valuable lessons to be learned, but as we know, Poncho is a poor student

My dog is a nudist, too. I really feel for her in the cold we have now, but she will just lie down and try to rub off a coat or sweater in a pile of snow and ice. Salt and ice gets between her toes, and she will stop and hold up one leg, and I will have to remove gloves and fix it. Sometimes I just hold the foot for a minute and hope the ice melted. I have two sets of boots that fit her just fine. I thought children were stubborn.
