When I lived in Tuscaloosa AL, just the mention of a potential ice or snow storm would result in a run to buy up everything at the supermarkets. Here in FL the food and gas hoarding happens when your area gets anywhere near that dreaded “cone of uncertainty” when a tropical storm or hurricane approaches. It really hits the fan if Jim Cantore shows up in your TV market or anywhere within 100 or so miles.
The forecast will be: some clouds, giving way to breaks of sun, followed by scattered showers, which may give way to snow flurries…followed by darkness as we head into night skies! So this is why the weather broadcaster is Never inaccurate!! Lol
