Don’t worry Clayton. By Monday it’ll be as if it has never happened.

    Feel funky!

    Feel good!

Gonna tell ya, I’m in the neighbourhood!

Gonna fly like a bird on the wing.

Hold on to your hat honey, Sing, sing, sing, sing.

I heat up, I cool down (cool down),

I got words in my head so I say them.

Don’t let life get me down,

Catch a hold of my blues and just play them.

I got the music in me, I got the music in me, I got the music in meeeeeeeee!

It doesn’t have to be a fast tempo. I produce events and for fun, we’d play “Wonderful Wonderful Copenhagen” and within a minute people would start swaying in beat. Try it!

Clayton.. as a representative of the male species.. today you failed the test. You may never become a member of the coveted Old Grump Club. There will be other tests.. but this one was a biggie.

When listening to Artie Shaw’s Begin the Beguine, I like to picture a young Mozart hearing it for the first time.

Probably no one cares, but Sartre said something to the effect that dance was one of the most immediate experiences we have. There is little if any delay between the reception and the response.

If my wife wants me to dance, a slow, close waltz works best.
