7.9/10 This joke was pretty funny. It isn’t the usual joke, it’s unique.

On december 24th, 2021, a certain commenter joined.

Also in 2022, a GoComics commenter who was taking a 2-week for his own personal reasons has finally returned, and that commenter…is me! Hello again all! I’ll also catch up with the comics I didn’t comment on when I was having my break.

I bet the teacher not only confiscated Teddy’s book, but also looks through it and plans to give “on this date” factoids to other people.

You know what’s funny? Every year, Nate acknowledges the year in a strip at least once. This implies that real life years are canon in Big Nate. This means he is eternally young, because he’s been the same age since talking about living in the 90s in a past strip :)

Mrs. Godfrey should at least be happy that Nate and Teddy are learning their history.

I gotta say it, that was pretty funny (the Godfrey part)

I hate to be that guy, but I had to check. The first Mardi Gras in Mobile was celebrated in 1703, but Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras) that year would have been Feb 20, not Feb 27.

Also, the first unofficial Mardi Gras was in New Orleans, when 2 explorers had a small celebration and dubbed the landing spot Point du Mardi Gras.
