when I see one of my father in one of his photo albums with him as a young adult (I think his missionary pictures), I at times think he looks like Clark Kent

I had fun looking at my parents’ old yearbooks. And my kids enjoyed looking at mine — except they laughed at the fact that I had hair back then.

Our family saying is that my dad is always the handsomest man in the room. He was handsome right up to the end (which was 6/6/2020) at age 90.

Ties with ruffles? What does that even look like? Searching it turned up either just regular ties or ones that look like ascots. Glad I missed that trend!

Even I cringe when I look at my old high school yearbooks (which I don’t very often). I use one to increase the height of my WFH computer monitors.

I hope the pics were in black and white. You could be blinded by the color of the tie alone.

Pray you don’t find his leisure suit. Oh wait, Jason does that much later.

I never wore (or saw, for that matter) a ruffled tie.

I wore crushed velvet ties (both bow & 4-in-hand). With ruffled shirts. Senior prom – black crushed velvet tuxedo with black crushed bow tie and a red ruffled shirt; stylin’ all the way! And my then-GF thought it was a nice change from my usual elephant bells & tie-dye T-shirts.

Cleaning the basement doesn’t mean looking in depth at old books.
