    To clarify:

    Hardware is the physical parts of the device: screen, motherboard, fan, battery, PC keyboard, mouse, stylus, etc.

    Software is the virtual, or digital part of the device: apps, programs, etc.

    Firmware is a special kind of software that serves a very narrow purpose for a piece of hardware: your PC’s BIOS, the built in OS for TVs and other smart devices, iOS and Android versions, etc.
