those sure were the days

People choose to have children, pets, a big house and other things when thinking of having these thing people gloss over the actual hard work they all are, and in combination almost impossible to take care of adequately.

Let dogs be. They have a simple life. And this one’s job is to guard sheep and little girls.

Is Elly boiling her kid’s diapers?

Don’t they have Pampers in Canada??

Never could do that nor sleep late.

She did it three times, it was called her third trimester. Society always lets them get as much rest in that last trimester because once that is over, MOMMA never stops!

For experienced parents, they sure let April free range all over the house. Put the kid in a playpen, no food or drinks in there with her, clean up the major messes, small messes are always around until April starts kindergarten, and Mom can have a cup of coffee in relative peace.

Same, but not the same for me, for I was ‘confined’ to a hospital bed, and the ‘weekend’ was 8 days. My wife and I do not want that to happen again(she found out how bad of a patient I can be).

Carefree until the hormones took over.

Perfect example of Elly playing the long suffering martyr.

You would think it’s easy being a dog, but just try to remember when to roll over or to sleep. A skilled dog just makes it look easy.

Kids suck.

Napping is common talent that most common people don’t have time to exercise. Dogs are not common people, are they?

A million years, so it would seem….

Life whatever the circumstance is not a bowl of cherries.

Ah yes, that was probably the weekend Michael was conceived, and she’s been taking her resentment out on him ever since!

The last sentence reminded me of King of the Hill:

Joseph: How long are you going to be in Arizona, Mr. Redcorn?

John Redcorn: “Just for the Thanksgiving weekend.”

Dale: “Hey, do your people even celebrate Thanksgiving?”

John Redcorn: “We did,….once.”

Big floofer.

Now that I am retired, I have weekends like that again. Have weekdays like that too, lol
