Even the bird wonders what’s wrong with Spud. Bugs are delicious.

I killed a spider today. Which means there’s been a spider hanging out in my room since at least November.

I’m not sure if I’m reading Wallace’s facial features correctly, but it appears to me like the first time I’ve ever seen him frustrated/upset with Spud.

We have a gnat problem at my house, they are probably coming from the plants, but which ones we don’t know.

And the songbird stayed in place throughout Spud’s rant. She’s not afraid.

Enlarge the comic so as to see the expression on the bird’s face in panel 1. Priceless! Singing its little melody with full assurance that it is the prettiest sound in the forest.

When I was a junior in college, we were driving back from church (carefully) in rain. In February. In northern Wisconsin. In the backseat, the guy from the deserts of Arizona was delighted. My Wisconsinite best friend was driving, I (from NH) was in the passenger seat, and also in the back seat was another girl from the north. We assured him that rain in February is bad. In fact, it was icing up the trees as we drove. The AZ guy is like, “Aw, it’s so pretty!” And of course it was, just in a dangerous way.

We weren’t super far from campus when we hit black ice. The car spun across the road, twisting across the oncoming lane, so that we ended up on the shoulder facing the wrong way. Then, in slow motion, the car tipped onto its right side—there was snow right outside my window. But God protected us—we didn’t hit any oncoming traffic, the rollover was partial and as slow as a rollover can be, and no one was hurt. I just had a sore right half, from holding tight onto the door handle as it happened.
