Yoiks! Better watch that lettering, Will. I thought Puck was an entirely different word with the P leaning on the U for support. Thank goodness it didn’t say…FLICK.
Ha! How is it I like this punchline BETTER since it comes out of nowhere, not at all apropos of beavers or stumps? It just shows what a great character-driven work this really is.

Wallace and “puck” such great friends….as I’ve said here before, so mind me of my husband and his childhood friend….makes my heart warm.

At least it wasn’t off a pier this time. Spud’s luck is improving.

Amelia is practicing to be the next Don Rickles!

The only thing left is for Spud to choke on a snowflake for solid proof that water in all forms is out to get him.

Panel 4, is that a “high five” between Amelia and Rose..?
ChrisRiesbeck Premium Member over 2 years ago
I think that’s Rose helping Amelia stop, based on the previous panel.

Is your soul mate’s new pet name now going to be Hockey Puck?….

I just finished reading today’s comments on “Non Sequitur”, “Doonesbury”, and “Pearls Before Swine”. Save yourselves and stay here.

Perhaps the beavers were expecting an attack by a Calvary unit trying to cross the lake?

More proof their meant for each other. And proof I didn’t know I needed that spud is highly flamable. He IS 50% pizza grease. THe math checks out.

At least he wasn’t impaled on those vicious beaver spikes!
