You guys need some of that non-stick cooking spray stuff that Clark Griswold used on his saucer in “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”.

Get a big piece of cardboard. That should work a little better.

It looks like that hill goes steeper, just get up, move the saucer forward, and then jump in.

There is a little sledding hill about half a mile from my house, last time I walked by there was a saucer sled abandoned at the bottom

Might not be a good sled but it’s a sled, I’m betting another kid has already grabbed it and taken it home

It’s snowed again since my last walk, that other kid has probably already used it

I’ve never seen a saucer that didn’t go like crazy with a kid on it. You’d have to be an over-weight adult for it to sink into the snow.

Belly flop down the hill. I used to do that. A good leather coat and a smooth run will give you add the adventure you need. …for a few minutes.

yeah, the saucer sled doesn’t work with “soft” snow, and when it does, directional control is marginal at best.

Just get Clayton to go first on the good sled and pack the snow down. Then the saucer should work just fine.

Saucers worked great when I was a kid (steering aside). Are saucer sleds something different?

Try putting some of chevy Chase’s newly non tested non-chloric, silicon-based kitchen lubricant on it. Oh yeah, kids, do not try that at home.

Never had trouble with mine. The snow just needs to be packed down more. :-)

Just ask your dad for a pony. When that takes it’s normal reaction, ask for a snowboard

I’ve seen lots of those overgrown woks happy scooting down a snowy hill.
