My cat Millie does this and I end up almost stepping on her paw or she walks in front of me. Very annoying but funny when others observe.

For several hours last night I was the only human in the house, a very rare thing

All 4 cats clustered around me in the living room, and at least one followed me if I went to another room

For the record, sometimes dogs really don’t have anything better to do.
