The real question is: Did Hammie have a booger on his nose? He might have. Not out of character at all.

That there are “worse” things doesn’t excuse that she called him a name at all XD While Darryl is doing it as an affectionate nickname (that he apparently doesn’t use around his wife), she’s still teaching Zoe that name-calling is inappropriate, which is a good lesson to learn :P
