This how we should truly get along with our spouses, and really, any body we want to relate to in this world.

On the other hand, Opal would probably yell at him if she asked him to rake and he said, “I can’t. I loaned out the good rake.” This strip has taught me one thing and one thing only - Earl rarely wins, and almost never when manual labor is involved.

Yay Grammy Opal! But ungenerous IS a big improvement.

Opal is finally getting wise by soothing what could otherwise become Earl’s VERY sore spot.

Earl’s just using a corollary to ” Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me

Earl says it is better because he knows not what the word means!!

I keep saying I’ll stop loaning things to my brother, but I always do. I try not to hold a grudge and not let one person affect my attitude towards generosity.

Still, I feel like I never learn. I wish he would at least pay for the replacements.
