Goodness! Greg has turned grey, since the last time we saw him.

I remember a political cartoon where Bush, Sr. sicced Millie on Socks the Cat, who was hogging all the camera time.

It was very funny.

Before calling the dog Sara, check and ensure that it is appropriate.

Well, she did give her a unique name. Hang in there and find out.

Call it dog, pup or to be different cat. Just never late for meals.

Serendipity or “Dip” for short. Works.

IF you want to drive the dog crazy name it STAY!.

So calling it would be “Here Stay! Here Stay!”

None of our dogs took much time to name. Besides the obvious considerations in a name we kept it to names the dog would recognize in any situation. Ace, Baron, Lucy, Tasha, Molly, Toby….

Cummerbund Bindibatch is a good name.

For some reason, this reminds me of the Hallmark Hall of Fame miniseries that started with Sarah Plain and Tall. Sarah’s trying to find out the family dog’s name. They say to her, guess. So she proceeds to run through all the usual dog names like Rover, Spot or Ruff, but can’t figure it out. Then it finally comes to her….Guess.

Finding a good name for a dog is very difficult. And the dog won’t care whether the name is clever or not, so it’s a lot of effort for no real gain.

The dog finds out that Lawrence is gay.She yawns and goes back to sleep.

Another name could be “Butch”. Then again, Connie already took that nickname with that hairstyle of hers.

My son called his new puppy, Newby.

Dump the s and call it quit. First couple of years that will be its name anyway.

A friend of mine named her white Samoyed “Honkey”. She ran into a few problems in public when the dog escaped her leash at the beach…

Or she could do as I did with a cat we were told was named “Samantha” and keep the last part: ’Dipity.

I’m happy just seeing them all happy and loving the new addition. I yell, DOG! for my granddog when she is here. She always comes.

Someone I worked with decades ago let her 4 year old name their pets. She named one “Washcloth“ and the other “7-8-9” — Washcloth was a cat. I don’t remember whether 7-8-9 was a cat or a dog.
