It’s depressing to go to a museum and see the products that I used to sell at the department store…

All our furniture antiques. Real deal not press board junk. Real rolled maple wood, hickory, oak, cherry wood, mahogany, chestnut, teak, iron bed from 1860’s. So much more. Last forever and looks great.

I knew it was time to update our light fixtures when I went to a church rummage sale, and saw our dining room chandelier for sale with a $1 price tag.

My grandmother left me an old TV lamp from the 50s because it was a pair of Siamese cats and I had a Siamese at that time. Saw the same lamp on eBay for $100.00. She probably paid $4.95 if that much.

I bought a dresser from Duke U’s furnirure “expired” sale for $40 in the early 1990s. They had redone their dorms. I still have it. It’s undamaged, but it’s hard to hurt wood veneer and metal.
