The neo-cons shoved him in long before Obama arrived on the scene. Think Hillary’s health care plan.

I don’t think I will ever understand why so many Americans think it is OK that 50 million other Americans cannot access healthcare in this country because the insurance industry shuts them out with exorbitant individual premiums, denial of coverage and exclusion of pre-existing conditions … the GOP says it LOVES small business, but employees of small business are a big part of those who can’t get healthcare … all you people who like the healthcare you have, how are you getting it? VA? military? governmental employee? school district employee? College employee? Medicare? taxpayers are paying for that!! and if you get healthcare from a private business, taxpayers are subsidizing it because cost of it is a write-off. Wake up, get real, get honest!

reform healthcare by letting doctors be doctors and not health insurance paper shufflers/service deniers…heck, keep the money in healthcare if you have to, but pay them for DOING the work, not avoiding it…

heck BCS, even you cant take the politics out of it. Ive usually got right at 10 guys in the shop, including me. I pay a portion of their insurance (about $240 per week per guy) and if they insure more than just themselves they have to pay about 200 a week…the single guys dont pay anything. the “GOP” and the “DEMOCRATS” both have done quite a bit of getting in my way over the years but it seems to me that if people just dealt with their dr’s instead of this insurance fallacy that could be all the “reform” that is really needed.

i pay 6500$ US per year for my health insurance…so they can deny services that could save my life…if they feel its too expensive…and cause me no end of hassles should the proper hoops not be jumped through…but i have a teen in the house and i cant not have her covered…

Im really hoping Obama rattles the cages here…but im sure ill be dissapointed

    well drawn toon, tho.

redhead, we’re on the same wave length! I too am concerned about whether there will be true “reform” of our system, along with universal healthcare. I did NOT like Hillary’s plan at all … it needs simplicity, not more inefficient bureaucracy which serves mainly to drive costs upward and quality downward … I’m hoping it gets done right this time … but we’ll see

Healthcare professionals are really getting jolted by the lack of sufficient reimbursements from Medicare and Medicaid. Cutting it further is going to cause us to lose more doctors, causing more stress in the medical profession.
