My wife and I split responsibilities in our house. To a large extent we assume the stereotypical gender based jobs: she does the cooking and the laundry (she actually likes to do the former) and I do the cleanup after dinner (it goes along with my husbandly duty of taking out the trash) and ironing (I do a better job – it requires a “heavy hand.”)
Somehow, it has become my responsibility to make sure that each of our bathrooms are amply supplied with TP. I’ve had my lawyers review the marriage contract and they claim that it is implied in the section that the toilet seat must always be left in the down position.
YEAH!!!! But, even worse, our latest package of Scott Tissue rolls is really bad: this tissue is VERY thin. I can’t find anything on whether or not the “ingredients” for toilet paper are dwindling, but this ONE product I’d find it hard to do without. . .
The original drawings of TP show the paper going over the top. This allows us to use the principle of the lever to more evenly tear the paper at the perforation.

Only being told we are completely out, after all the shops are closed.

Yes. Luckily, it’s rare.

never happens, so, no… ☺
we get our tp at costco in packs that last us 30 years, so there’s always a supply in the toilet…

I take out three rolls at a time and sit them in the magazine holder.

Stranded, stranded on the toilet bowl, What do you do when you’re stranded and you can’t find the roll?

OK, this falls in line the seat up or seat down debate, if you look first it shouldn’t matter.

Since my husband and I use separate bathrooms, if a roll gets to this point in my bathroom, it’s all my fault.

even worse is when that was the last roll and no one told you.

Drives me crazy at work. There’s a huge box of TP sitting right there. If you use the last, put on a new one. It isn’t that hard to do.

Yes, it does. My taste in toilet paper holders and other bathroom fixtures leans toward a simpler, more streamlined look.

Only got myself to blame if that would ever happen here.
